The Miamisburg Rotary Club will hold its 33rd Annual Esther Philhower Charity Auction on Saturday,March 23 ,2024 at the Baum Opera House. Doors open at 6:00pm for happy hour (cash bar), dinner at 7:00pm and the Auction at 8:00pm.

Their annual charity auction is a great opportunity to socialize and have fun while raising funds to support the objectives and projects of the Miamisburg Rotary Club and Rotary International.

Tickets are $35.00 per person and may be purchased from any Miamisburg Rotarian or at the door. Additionally, members of the general public may purchase tickets or make a donation through our website at: http://miamisburgrotary.org/sitepage/qr/agt. Tickets  include auction admission, dinner, and entry into door prizes drawings.

Bidders will be requested to complete an information card to ensure proper allocation of their bids, delivery of receipts, and recognition for their purchases. Payments by winning bidders are due the night of the auction and may be made by cash, check, credit card, or Venmo.  Credit card purchases will incur an additional fee (less than 4%) to cover the charges incurred by the processing service.

Silent auction items will be available for bidding. Auctioneer Frankie Lewis will conduct the live portion of the auction for many other popular items.

All auction proceeds are allocated by the winning bidders to The Rotary Foundation (Polio Plus or Annual Fund), or to the Miamisburg Rotary Charitable Trust Fund. You may donate the full amount to one fund, split your donations among the funds, or leave it to be allocated as needed

The Miamisburg Rotary Charitable Trust Fund:  The Charitable Trust is organized and managed by the Dayton Foundation. The Charitable Trust provides donations and grants to qualified, 501(c)(3) organizations as approved by the Miamisburg Rotary Club Allocations Committee and Board of Officers and Directors.

The Rotary Foundation:  The Rotary Foundation:  The Rotary Foundation transforms your gifts into projects that change lives both close to home and around the world. As the charitable arm of Rotary International, we tap into a global network of Rotarians and others who invest their time, money, and expertise into our priorities, such as eradicating polio and promoting peace. Foundation grants empower Rotarians to approach challenges such as poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition with sustainable solutions that leave a lasting impact. Strong financial oversight, a stellar charity rating, and a unique funding model mean that we make the very most of your contribution. Give and become a part of Rotary’s life-changing work!
Donors to the Rotary Foundation are credited for their contributions and may be recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow when their cumulative donations exceed $1,000.00.

The Miamisburg Rotary Club was Chartered in 1922 and has continually built on a strong tradition of serving our community. We have supported numerous local organizations and efforts with funding and volunteer service, in addition to supporting the aims of Rotary International.

The Rotary Club of Miamisburg meets every Wednesday at 12 noon at the Baum Opera House. Club members enjoy lunch, fellowship, and a speaker at each meeting.

Rotary District 6670 Gala Dinner 2024
Apr. 26, 2024 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

We'll have Fellowship hour followed by a terrific dinner, and capped off with our keynote speaker. Interspersed between meal courses will be our required business items, such as presenting next year’s budget, formally electing DGN Heidi Schiller to be our next District Governor Elect, and hearing from our youth programs about the 4-Way Test Speech Contest, RYLA, and Youth Exchange.

Our keynote speaker will be the Honorable Jim Buchy. Jim served in the Ohio House of Representatives for 24 years, mostly in leadership positions, and served as Assistant Director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture. He is currently involved with bringing 4-H and FFA to the inner-city youth and helped Central State University start an Agriculture education program. His talk will be an interesting blend about youth, education, and economic growth, three of Rotary’s areas of focus.

During the Gala Dinner we will hold a Silent Auction of gift baskets.  Items will be displayed during the event; 100% of the proceeds at the end of the evening will be donated to the Rotary Foundation.

Thank you to the following sponsors for whom their contributions will significantly cover
the costs of this event (and hopefully we will have more to add to the list soon).
