Miamisburg Rotary Club Pancake Day
(As submitted to the Miamisburg News)
IT’S BACK!!
In Miamisburg, the holiday season means different things to different people.  On Saturday, 2 December 2017, we’ll see the return of one of the favorite community traditions in the form of the Miamisburg Rotary Club’s 57th Annual Pancake Day.  For many, Pancake Day has become a fun, social event and a good time to see and catch up with friends.
In 1961, the Miamisburg Rotary Club decided to create a new fundraiser that would involve and benefit the local community.  It was through the collaborative efforts of Hubert “Hubie” Fields and Dr. Glen Brandon, both Past-Presidents of the club, that Rotary’s Pancake Day was born in Miamisburg.
Since then, with the efforts and dedication of our Rotarians, families, friends and the Miamisburg High School Interact Club, this event has become one of our largest fund raisers.  Proceeds are distributed to support local charities and organizations, including the Dr. Glen Brandon and the HV Bear scholarship funds, Perkins Kids, the Children’s Performing Arts, The American Legion Boys State and the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State, Blessings in a Bag, the Miamisburg Historical Society, the Helping Hands Food Pantry, Club Impact at the Miamisburg Youth Center, the YMCA Youth Programs, and many others.  Over the past 6 years, with the wonderful support of the Miamisburg community, we have distributed an average of over $14,500.00 per year to local organizations.
Pancake Day will be at the Miamisburg Hight School Commons area on Saturday, 2 December 2017 from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Bring your family and friends out to enjoy some pancakes, sausage links, apple sauce, orange juice, milk, coffee and tea.  Santa Claus will be on hand to visit the children.  Tickets are available from any Miamisburg Rotarian or at the door for $6.00.  Children 5 and under eat FREE.
The Miamisburg Rotary Club thanks Perkins Restaurant, all our generous sponsors and our many wonderful Miamisburg area friends and neighbors for your support.

We hope to see you there!
